Information we process
Text2Folders processes account details such as your name, email address, authentication records, and session data. When you use the product, we process uploaded screenshots, OCR output, generated folder names, ZIP files, job status, hashed API keys, and basic request metadata needed to operate and secure the service. Contact-form messages include the name, email address, topic, and message you submit.
How we use information
We use this information to authenticate users, run screenshot-to-folder jobs, provide downloads, enforce quotas and subscriptions, prevent abuse, deliver transactional and support email, troubleshoot failures, and operate billing. We do not sell personal information.
Service providers
The service runs on Cloudflare, including Workers, D1, R2, Workers AI, KV, Turnstile, and Durable Objects. Depending on enabled configuration, we may also use Google for sign-in, Stripe for billing, Resend for transactional email, and optional analytics providers. Those providers process data under their own terms.
Analytics and consent
When you allow analytics, Text2Folders uses Google Analytics 4 to measure page visits, feature usage, signup and login outcomes, completed screenshot-to-folder jobs, downloads, API-key creation, contact-form completion, and billing funnel events. Analytics is disabled until you choose to allow it, and you can change that choice using the “Privacy choices” control.
We do not intentionally send uploaded filenames, screenshots, OCR or folder-name content, names, email addresses, API keys, contact messages, or detailed error messages to Google Analytics. Event data uses coarse technical attributes such as file type, file-size range, line count, workflow location, and HTTP status. Google Analytics may process device, browser, approximate location, referral, and usage information under Google’s terms. Your analytics choice is stored in your browser’s local storage.
Storage and retention
Uploaded source images and generated ZIP files are retained only as needed to provide the service. Defaults retain anonymous job files for up to 24 hours and signed-in job files for up to 168 hours. Review-state OCR text expires on the same schedule even if a ZIP was never created. After expiry, associated object storage and OCR line content are removed by cleanup. Anonymous expired job records are purged after about 7 days. Account, billing, security, and active-job records may remain longer where needed for operation, legal obligations, or abuse prevention.
Your choices
Do not upload sensitive, confidential, or regulated information. You may delete available jobs in the product. Signed-in users can permanently delete their account from Billing, which removes account records, API keys, naming rules, job history, and associated screenshots/ZIPs we still hold. Billing history retained by Stripe remains subject to Stripe’s retention and legal obligations. You may also contact us to request access to or deletion of account information, subject to legal and operational retention requirements.
Security and changes
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to a software service of this kind, but no system is guaranteed to be continuously available or free from risk. OCR output is imperfect and should be reviewed before you rely on it. We may update this policy as the product and its providers change. Material revisions will be reflected by the date above.
