Upload a screenshot of addresses, labels, or any line list. We OCR each line, build a folder for every name, and ship you a ZIP to download and extract.

Step 1: choose a screenshot

Screenshots are stored temporarily to process the job. Default file retention is up to 24 hours for anonymous jobs and 168 hours for signed-in jobs.

Built for anyone who turns on-screen lists into folders

Screenshots aren't folders yet

Your list is already on screen. Creating an empty folder for every line should take seconds, not a repetitive copy-paste grind.

Manual folder creation wastes hours

Copying line by line from a screenshot into Explorer or Finder is slow, error-prone, and soul-crushing at scale.

Lists live in images, not spreadsheets

Ops teams and clients send phone screenshots and dark-mode UI grabs — not CSVs. You still need the folders.

Agents need filesystem structure

LLMs and MCP tools can't open Finder for you. They need an API that turns visual lists into real directories.

One screenshot. Ten folders. One ZIP.

Feed Text2Folders a clear screenshot of a line list — like property addresses — and download a ZIP with a folder for each line. Extract and drop files straight into the right place.

Everything you need to go from image to archive

Web upload for humans, REST for scripts, MCP for agents same OCR folder ZIP pipeline.
Screenshot OCR

Screenshot OCR

Detect each line of text from a clear screenshot and sanitize it into a safe folder name.

One folder per line

One folder per line

Every detected line becomes its own folder — ready for files, photos, or empty stubs.

ZIP download

ZIP download

Get a single archive you extract locally. No sync clients, no cloud storage lock-in.

REST API

REST API

Send an image, receive a ZIP. Integrate folder generation into CRMs, ops tools, and scripts.

MCP for agents

MCP for agents

Expose the same flow to Cursor, Claude, and other MCP clients so agents can create folder packs from screenshots.

Batch-friendly

Built for lists of 10, 100, or more lines — property addresses, SKUs, room names, ticket IDs.

From address list to folder pack

Example: a dark-mode screenshot of ten addresses becomes ten folders in folders.zip extract and you're done.

Frequently asked questions

You upload a screenshot of text — addresses, product labels, inventory lists, anything line-by-line. We OCR each line, create a folder with that name, and package everything into a ZIP you download and extract.
Yes. Signed-in users with an active or trial entitlement can create an API key in the app, submit screenshots to the REST API, check job status, and download completed ZIP files.
The MCP server exposes create_job, get_job, finalize_job, and list_jobs to compatible clients. It uses the same Text2Folders API keys and job pipeline as the REST API.
OCR is fallible. Clear, cropped screenshots with one item per line work best; blurry photos, dense paragraphs, and multi-column layouts are less reliable. Review recognized names before using the archive.
Anyone who repeatedly turns on-screen lists into empty folders — field ops, property managers, organizers, developers batching project stubs, and AI agents that need filesystem structure from images.
Yes. Text2Folders is live for web, REST, and MCP use. Interfaces and quotas may still evolve; OCR is fallible, so review folder names before relying on them. Do not upload sensitive or regulated information.
